The Shadow, 5min super 8 Black and white

A super 8 Film made on the Kinabatangan River, Borneo . Home of The Orang-utan, Proboscis Monkey and the Bornean Mullers Gibbon among other primates, this haunting landscape is perilously being deforested and its Biodiversity on the edge of extinction. I visited longhouses and talked with Dayak women to gather stories about their relationship with the forest, the Gibbon and the Orangutan.

Superimposed with images from a denuded landscape in Victoria Australia, where Cows pasture. This body of work talks about Loss of Indigenous stories and landscapes through colonisation and environment degradation.

Set in Borneo and in the denuded hills of a Victorian farmed landscape, a Yeti like creature roams as a ghost.
